Après la COP 21, nous sommes tous conscients de la nécessité de réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre et de protéger l'environnement. Nous pouvons agir au "idien en choisissant de nous nourrir sans mettre en danger les grands équilibres de la planète tout en satisfaisant les besoins de notre corps. Mais les choix sont difficiles car manger est un acte complexe et nos motivations nombreuses et parfois contradictoires : nutritionnelles, sanitaires, culturelles, économiques et, plus récemment, citoyennes et solidaires. Comment composer ses repas ? Peut-on se fier à l'affichage environnemental ? Doit-on privilégier les circuits courts ? Faut-il consommer moins de viandes ? Que penser des poissons d'élevage ? Se nourrir avec des aliments biologiques est-il bénéfique pour la planète ? Comment gaspiller moins de nourriture ? Quels modes de cuisson privilégier ? Autant de questions, parmi d'autres, auxquelles Pierre Feillet, spécialiste de l'impact de l'évolution des sciences et des techniques sur l'alimentation, nous aide à formuler nos réponses afin que manger de manière citoyenne ne soit pas une punition, mais tout juste une question de connaissances et d'attention. Ingénieur agronome, Pierre Feillet est membre de l'Académie des technologies et de l'Académie d'agriculture de France. Ses travaux portent sur la thématique « Alimentation, technologie et société ». "Cet ouvrage est un hommage rendu à François Bart, géographe, professeur émérite de l'université Bordeaux-Montaigne. Whilst there are popular ideas about which champion Aboriginal environmental knowledge, many of these are based more on romantic notions than on any detailed understanding of what might be the content of this knowledge. This book is based on a grounded and broad assessment of less well known details of Aboriginal knowledge and provides both a great deal of detail and a new assessment of rituals and practices. Aboriginal environmental knowledge is examined here as an integrated source of both religious and scientific knowledge. An important finding is that Aboriginal environmental knowledge also includes knowledge about education for attitudes considered appropriate for survival. Though evidence for this is readily available in the literature, it has not been part of current depictions of Aboriginal environmental knowledge.
