- Summary
-

- 1. Baskı. - İstanbul : İletişim, 2022.
- Description
- Book — 504 pages : illustration, portrait ; 20 cm.
- Summary
-
Rıza Türmen, a former judge of the European Court of Human Rights and Işıl Kurnaz, a human rights lawyer and researcher of human rights law, discuss the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). While discussing the founding purpose, principles, functioning and current position of the Court, they draw a framework of human rights law by considering the articles of the ECHR in detail. They delve deeper into the rights recognized by the convention and the violations of these rights, with examples of cases and decisions concerning Turkey and other states party to the convention before the ECHR. Rather than pursuing an abstract discussion, they specifically examine democracy and human rights issues in Turkey.
